A few years ago, the airport officially banned overnight travellers from staying at the airport. Travellers in and out of Christchurch may be familiar with the airport’s confusing policies about catching some Z’s overnight. The New Zealand-based hotel provider recently opened 271 ‘micro accommodations’ near the international hotel to help ease the long-term room shortage in the city. Would anyone recommend the Holiday Express Inn or Fiesta Inn near the hotel? I'm not too bothered if the quality is less, but I don't want to be fussing too much with getting to and from the airport, given the short amount of time I'll be in Mexico City. This could also be an option for the whole night (£31) given as I only want to sleep.ģ. They only sell the shorter 'naps' as walk up though, so they could be sold out. Any experience of the sleep pods? 2-4 hours and 2-4 hours working would be great. Is there anywhere in either terminal which is comfortable to get some work done on a laptop overnight?Ģ. Given I will be sleeping on the plane, with the time distance (UK) I am tempted to just work through the night rather than spend £100 on the Marriot. I have another flight to cancun at 7am, so I'd need to be up at 5am for that. ![]() ![]() I land late on the BA flight (8.45pm), so by the time I get through immigration and pick up bags it will likely be approaching 10pm.
